Geno graduated from Iron Mountain High School in 1984. He is a third generation laborer and joined the Laborers Local 1329 in 1983. While working in the field for 8 years, he held many offices with Local 1329 including, secretary/treasurer, executive board member and delegate to District Council. He was elected Business Manager of Local 1329 in June 1999. Geno attended and graduated the Trade Union Program at Harvard University in Boston in March 1998. He also has attended the Leadership Program at the George Meany Center in Washington D.C. in 1996. Geno currently serves as executive board member to Michigan Laborers District Council, trustee to Michigan Laborers Pension Fund, and trustee to Michigan Laborers Training Fund. Geno is a lifelong resident of Iron Mountain where he lives with wife Paula and three children, Sarah, Geno Jr. and Tony
